... there are many ways to make your free time varied and entertaining. For example, there is the municipal gallery, the "Christinenhaus" with changing exhibitions. This was named after the Swedish Queen Christine, who is said to have stayed in this house on a trip to Rome. A wide variety of concerts and theater performances await you in the town hall, and the Museum Kloster Zeven, which is housed in the former Benedictine nunnery, is also worth a visit. In addition to a Romanesque vaulted cellar and baroque wall paintings from the monastic period, you will find a collection on prehistory, documents on the monastery and local history, an folklore department and the alderman's hall with changing exhibitions. Special mention goes to the Hans-Müller-Brauel room and its library, in which the memory of the deserving local researcher is maintained.

In our fire brigade museum, which is run with a lot of love and commitment by volunteer members of this association, you will find an exhibition that documents the development of fire brigade, from the extinguishing bucket to the vehicle and everything that goes with it. Surely one or the other detail could be given here, but maybe we have aroused your interest and can welcome you soon in the city by the forest, it would be a special pleasure for us!
